Can any one give advice on what sort of disclaimers and T&Cs should be issued with finished heat loss calculations?
Hi, if you have one of our heat loss calculation spreadsheets then this carries the basic disclaimer relating to the standards the tool uses and on the performance estimate page as well.

Hi Clive

I have a couple of questions. When it comes to the noise assessment, what's the maximum distance that a wall or object can be from the heat pump to be treated as a reflective surface? For instance I have a solid stone wall about 2m from the proposed HP position - is this a reflective surface?

Also, in terms of subscribers to the Smarthub receiving new versions of the spreadsheet - how does this happen?

Many thanks

Natasha

Hi Natasha,
A reflective surface only counts if it is closer than 1 metre to the heat pump, and only if it is a solid wall, fence or other permanent solid structure (part of the house for example). Anything further away, or items like a bush or tree don't count as solid.

I'll send out new copies of the spreadsheet when a major upgrade is done. Likely to be early in the new year as I have a few tweaks to do to it over the winter.
